Location & Lifestyle

Set amongst an already established and growing community, the  township of Flagstone has a population of about 3,500 and boasts a regional high school, primary school, two preschools and a retail centre. Have the best of both worlds in this beautiful rural setting, far enough away to have space of your own, yet close enough to all the modern creature comforts.

Flagstone Rise is perfectly located close to the gateway of the future master-planned development of the Greater Flagstone Development, which will ultimately comprise 50,000 dwellings and be home to up to 120,000 people covering an area of approximately 7,200 hectares.

Recreation

Flagstone Rise has been designed to keep as much of the natural environment as possible and take advantage of the great outdoors. There are picnic facilities, park benches and playgrounds scattered throughout the estate with over six acres devoted to recreational areas. The recently completed "Dirram Yani" Ampitheatre has also made a wonderful addition to the Flagstone Rise community.

To make the most of the local area, practice your swing at one of the local golfing links or take a trip to the cinemas at Grand Plaza Browns Plains, or pop down to say g'day at the local Jimboomba Country Tavern and enjoy a counter meal.

Education

Children can be schooled from the cradle to high school without leaving Flagstone Rise.

With two childcare centres, the state-of-the-art Flagstone State Community College catering for years 8 - 12 and adjoining Flagstone State Primary School, there's no shortage of education facilities at Flagstone Rise. Flagstone Community College boasts the latest technology and a large, impressive Sports Centre and Performing Arts facility.

A range of other public and private schools are also within close reach in the area including The Hills International College and Emmaus College, both of which caters for prep to year 12.

Services & Shopping

You can pop down to the local Flagstone Village for your paper and essentials. The village includes a BWS, video store, independent grocers, hairdressers and take-away.

Or make the 10 minute trip to all that Jimboomba has to offer. There's a permanent ambulance service, a police station, domestic shopping, the local Jimboomba Country Tavern, medical-dental services, Coles and Woolworths, plus many local specialty stores, primary schools and community centre.

A little further afield you can head to Orion Springfield or the major employment hub of Browns Plains, home to Grand Plaza. Just 20 minutes drive for those bigger days out.

Community

Community spirit is alive and well at Flagstone Rise with an active Community Association Group, regular Mother's Group and walking groups, and more exciting things planned for 2012.

The annual Flagstone Rise Christmas Carols are also a must-do for locals with fundraising and fun activities with local schools and community groups.

Transport & accessibility

A possible service between Flagstone Rise, Jimboomba, Browns Plains and Greenbank Park n' Ride with peak hour links to Brisbane CBD is being considered. This would also work in conjunction with any proposed future passenger rail facility, to create a fully integrated public transport service. Discussions are ongoing with Translink about introducing a bus service to cater for Flagstone Rise residents, to be advised in the near future.
